Bouncy Castle FAQs

Important safety information for a fun and safe experience

To ensure everyone has a safe and fun experience, please read the following information before booking a bouncy castle with Master Castles.

Weather Conditions

Bouncy castles cannot be used in unsafe weather conditions. Strong winds, heavy rain, or storms can make inflatable equipment dangerous.

  • Castles cannot be operated in wind speeds of 28 km/h or higher this includes wind gusts.
  • Wind speeds are based on local weather forecasts and conditions at the setup location.
  • If unsafe weather is forecast or occurs on the day, we may cancel the booking for safety reasons.
  • If a booking is cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions, a full refund will be provided.
  • Light rain is usually okay, but castles must not be used during heavy rain or storms.

Setup Area Requirements

Before booking, please make sure you have enough space for the castle.

  • The setup area must be flat and clear of obstacles.
  • Please allow at least 1 metre of extra space around the castle for safety.
  • The area must be free of rocks, sticks, pet waste, or sharp objects.
  • Access to the setup area must be clear so we can safely deliver the equipment.

If you are unsure about space, measure the area before booking or contact us for advice.

Suitable Surfaces

Bouncy castles are generally set up on grass areas where they can be securely anchored.

We do not set up castles on:

  • Concrete
  • Artificial turf
  • Gravel or uneven ground

Indoor Setup

Some castles can be set up indoors in halls or large indoor spaces.

  • The venue must have sufficient ceiling height for the castle.
  • There must be enough floor space for the castle and safety clearance around it.
  • A suitable power outlet must be available nearby.

Please check the height and space available before booking for indoor setups.

Anchoring & Safety

All inflatables must be securely anchored for safety.

  • On grass, castles are secured using heavy-duty ground stakes.
  • For safety reasons, customers must not move or adjust the castle once it has been set up.

Power Requirements

Bouncy castles require constant power from a blower.

  • A standard household power outlet within 20 metres is required.
  • The blower must remain on at all times while the castle is in use.
  • If power is disconnected, the castle will quickly deflate.

Delivery & Access

Please ensure there is suitable access for delivery and setup.

  • Clear access must be available from our vehicle to the setup area.
  • Access pathways must be wide enough to safely move the equipment through.
  • Please inform us in advance if there are stairs, narrow pathways, steep slopes, or long distances to the setup area.
  • Gates and access points should be opened prior to our arrival.

If we are unable to safely access the setup area on arrival, we may not be able to complete the setup.

Supervision Rules

Adult supervision is required at all times while the castle is in use.

For safety, please ensure:

  • No flips, wrestling, or rough play
  • No shoes, food, drinks, or sharp objects on the castle
  • No climbing on the outside walls or safety nets
  • Children of similar size should use the castle together where possible

Safety is our priority. Following these guidelines helps ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience.

If you have any questions about setup or safety, please contact Master Castles before your event and we'll be happy to help.
